Daikin Comfort Technologies, North America Midstream Reimbursement Portal for the ComEd Commercial Midstream Program
Upgrading a commercial customer’s HVAC system with an energy efficient system helps your customer reduce their energy use. Less energy used equals lower utility bills and monthly cost savings. Daikin’s participation in ComEd’s Commercial Midstream Program allows you to help your customers save.
Reimbursement Portal
How does it work? Daikin has partnered with EGIA to develop a Reimbursement Portal. Dealers will use the portal to submit a claim for reimbursement when an eligible HVAC system is purchased. Claims are typically process within 5 business days and payment is remitted with 7 business days upon approval.
Eligibility Requirements Checklist for Daikin’s Reimbursement Portal
Equipment must be Two-Stage or Variable-Speed. Single-Speed equipment is not eligible.
Eligible installations sites include new construction and existing address. Warehouse & multifamily facilities do not qualify for an incentive from this program.
Business owners must have an active ComEd Business account and pay into the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program. Business owners who have opted out, not been approved, or chosen to not participate in the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program may not participate.
ComED business account numbers will be required for business owners who have an address in the following towns: Batavia, Geneva, Naperville, Rochelle, Rock Falls, St. Charles, Winnetka.
Equipment must have an AHRI certificate, purchased from Daikin, and meet the program minimum efficiency levels.
Incentive applications must be entered into the portal within 45 days of purchasing the equipment from Daikin.
Projects that will receive more than $10,000 of ComEd commercial incentives must receive pre-approval from ComEd. In those cases, the dealer must email the ComEd commercial trade ally contact (Will Wilberg, William.Wilberg@dnv.com) and CC EGIA at midstreamprograms@egia.org before purchasing the equipment.
